Mini Envesta Academy · last updated 10 August 2026
This policy explains what Mini Envesta Academy does with information, written for the parent or carer of the child using it. There is also a short version written for children.
The short answer: the app collects no personal information about your child. No name, no email address, no date of birth, no location, no photographs, no contacts, no advertising identifiers. There are no adverts, no third-party analytics, no tracking, no chat and no way for anyone to contact your child through the app.
Mini Envesta Academy is operated by The Envesta Group Limited ("we", "us"), a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 16778392, with its registered office at 124–128 City Road, London, England, EC1V 2NX.
We are the data controller for the limited information described below, and we are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under reference ZC217470.
You can reach us about anything in this policy at [email protected].
The app keeps your child's learning progress so it isn't lost when they close the app or change device. That progress is held on your child's device and a copy is kept on our servers so it can be restored using their recovery code.
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| A nickname such as "GoldenPiggy" | So the leaderboard has something to show. The app generates this itself from a fixed word list — your child cannot type their own, so a real name can never end up on screen. |
| A cartoon avatar choice | Personalisation. It is a choice from a small set of drawings, not a photograph. |
| A recovery code such as "LUCKY-ROCKET-48213" | So progress can be restored on a new device. The app generates this too. |
| Progress: XP, day streak, which episodes and reads are finished, badges earned, the date they started and the date they last opened the app | To show progress, award badges and rank the leaderboard. |
That is the complete list. Nothing else about your child is sent anywhere.
The Piggy Bank section — pocket money, chores, the practice investing game and the grown-up PIN — is stored only on the device. None of it reaches our servers. The practice share prices are simulated by the app; no real money is involved and nothing is ever bought or sold.
The leaderboard shows nicknames, avatars and XP scores to other children using the app. Because nicknames are generated rather than chosen, this does not identify anyone. Nothing else is visible to other users.
Our database is hosted by Supabase, who process the data on our instructions and do not use it for their own purposes. Our app and video files are served by Cloudflare. We do not sell data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers — we have none to share.
We process this limited progress information because it is necessary to provide the service your child is using — a learning app that remembers where they got to. We do not rely on consent for this, because a service that stops working if consent is withheld is not a real choice, and we do not process anything beyond what the app needs to function.
Progress is kept until it is deleted. You or your child can delete it at any time from inside the app, and we also delete records that have not been opened for 24 months.
In the app, go to the You tab and choose Delete everything. This removes the record from our servers as well as from the device — it is not a local-only reset. It cannot be undone.
If you would rather we did it, email [email protected] with your child's recovery code and we will remove it. You do not need to give us any other information, and please do not send us any.
You have the right to ask what we hold, to have it corrected or erased, to object to how we use it and to receive a copy. Given how little we hold and that deletion is built into the app, most of these can be exercised faster by using the app than by writing to us — but write to us if you prefer.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Data is encrypted in transit. The recovery code is the only key to a progress record, which is why the app generates codes rather than letting children pick guessable ones, and why the code should be treated like a password.
If we change what the app collects we will update this page and change the date at the top. If a change is significant we will say so in the app.
Anyone — child or grown-up — can report a problem with the app. There is a Report a problem option in the You tab, or email [email protected].
